RCIA meets Sundays after 9:15am Mass – all seekers are welcome
- Interested in learning more about the Catholic faith and considering becoming Catholic?
- A baptized Christian from another faith community interested in becoming Catholic?
- A baptized Catholic who has not yet received the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion and who desires to complete the Sacraments of Initiation?
If so, you are invited to learn more about the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
“In the sacraments of initiation, we are freed from the powers of darkness and joined to Christ’s death, burial and Resurrection.”
RCIA is the formal way in which people interested in becoming Catholic inquire about the faith, learn about church teachings, the Mass and other sacraments, and become members of the Church. If you’re curious about the Catholic faith or you’ve even thought about becoming a Catholic, our RCIA program is just for you. Adults from all faith traditions, or no religious background at all, are welcome to participate in our 34-week program of instruction designed especially for the lifestyles of busy people.
Classes are held Sundays after the 9:15am Mass from approximately 10:30am to 11:45am. The 75-minute classes are designed to be interactive, instructive, and inspiring. They are held in the art room of Sacred Heart Academy on the first floor of the school. Here is the syllabus for this season of classes: 2019-2020 RCIA syllabus
