Children’s Liturgy of the Word

There is a special Children’s Liturgy of the Word at the 9:15 am Mass on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of the month. Children from Kindergarten through 3rd grade are invited to attend. The children are invited to come forward during Mass, and then process down to Muldowney Hall for their Liturgy. Sunday readings and homilies are explained in age- and grade-appropriate ways. After the readings, children are led in a discussion on what the Word of the Lord means in their lives.  A simple form of the Creed and Petitions follows the discussion.   The children rejoin the congregation for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
