This year’s focus of study for the Catholic Biblical School is the Prophets, plus Tobit, Judith, and Esther. We’ll study who the prophets are, what their message is for Israel (and the Church today!), plus all the beautiful and powerful prophecies of Jesus Christ and his mission of redemption that are fulfilled in the New Testament.
This year’s focus of study in the Catechetical School is our vocation to be God’s holy people in a life of morality and prayer. We’ll understand what righteous, virtue, and holiness means concretely in the first semester, entitled “The Moral Life.” Then, we’ll dive deeper into the interior life of prayer in the second semester, learning what prayer is and isn’t, how to pray, and overcoming obstacles to our life of intimacy with God.
