Respect Life Ministry
The mission of the Respect Life Ministry is to educate our faith community on the importance of respecting all human life, at any age and stage, and to inspire parishioners to action in supporting pro-life efforts.
Through events such as the National Life Chain, the National March for Life and the Virginia March for Life, we stand together in support of life from conception to natural death.
Using discussions and presentations, we hope to inform the parish community about the beauty of Catholic teachings regarding human dignity, as we address such issues as abortion, natural family planning, reproductive technology, embryo stemcell research, funeral preparations, medical powers of attorney, palliative care, hospice, assisted suicide, and euthanasia.
Under our Respect Life Ministry Life Series: Spiritual and Practical Issues we have offered the following talks: How Your Smart Phone Will Resolve the Birth Control Debate, End-of-Life Decisions Through the Lens of Catholic Teaching, and Demystifying Catholic Funeral Rites.
Our monthly meetings will be posted on the parish website and in the bulletin. All are welcome to attend. Please contact Debbie Berg for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
